GUI engineer with X11/GTK experience for LINUX
Principal Software Designer

Job Description: We are changing the way people interact with their computing devices.  As part of that,  we are developing a very light weight fast Windowing environment (Window manager) with a brand new User interface.  We need some top engineers to work on the Windowing environment, develop applications in this windowing environment, as well as modify open source applications to work in this environment.
We need you have experience in developing applications on a Linux/Un*x environment, as well as programming in QT or GTK and X11.
Required Skills:
·         6+ years of experience in developing desktop applications on Linux using GTK+/X11.    Would consider strong developers with X11/QT experience.
·         Strong C/C++ programming experience.
·         Programming experience with using Shell scripts, Linux system calls, Inter Process Communication mechanisms such as DBUS

Required Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science 8+ years experience in applications development in Windows
• Strong background in multi-threaded programming in C/C++, IPC (inter process
• communication), events, semaphores, etc.
• Strong background of Visual Studio
• Strong knowledge of Operating Systems internals
• Excellent debugging skills
• Experience in interacting with Windows device drivers.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and get things done in a dynamic, fast paced
• environment
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills essential.
• Experience in providing technical leadership to both onsite and offshore engineering team members.
• Desirable to have a background Linux application development
• Experience with Install shield or other windows installer is a plus
