Job Description:
Looking for OS Administrators to provide services for over 3000 distributed UNIX (AIX, HP-UX, and Solaris) and LINUX (RedHat) systems
 
Desirable: Functional experience with MS Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
 
Roles & Responsibilities:
 
OS Build
·          Install OS per build standards using build checklist and build tools/automation (OS dependent).
·          Install OS toolsets and layered products per build standards using build checklist and build tools/automation (OS dependent).
·          Configure OS based on project engineering documents.
·          Configure application filesystems based on project engineering documents.
·          Validate build using automated QA tools.
·          Secure OS per OS security baselines.
 
OS Update
·          Install OS updates to include certified OS patches and packaged products per implementation request/plan.
·          Update OS and SW configuration per implementation request/plan.
·          Update application filesystems per implementation request/plan.
·          Validate updates per verification procedures specified in the implementation request/plan.
·          Maintain OS security per OS security baselines.

Networking Protocols / JUNIPER NETWORKS B’lore

Here are the Requirements:
 

1.  Exp (1 – 6) yrs

Responsibilities include:

Development and Execution of functional test cases at L2/L3 layer
Validate of BRAS features and protocols (PPP/PPPoA/PPPoE, DHCP, L2TP, L2C)
Automation of functional test cases
 Qualifications:

1+ year test experience.  Detailed understanding of one or more of the following BRAS protocols: PPP, PPPoA, PPPoE, DHCP, L2TP, L2C.

Exposure.

Hands on experience with scripting language like Tcl/Tk or Expec to routers/routing/layer3 is essential    

  2. Exp (1 – 3) yrs

Responsibilities include:

Development of Automated Test Suites using third party vendors testers.
Development and Execution of conformance tests at the physical and data link levels.
Validation of data forwarding, shaping, filtering, and prioritization (Policy and QoS).
Validation of data link protocol interoperability with other venders.
Evaluation of new interface controllers within the existing platforms.
 Qualifications:

Detailed understanding of one or more of the following physical or data link protocols: Ethernet, SONET, ATM, PPP, PPPoX, and/or MPLS.

Exposure to routers/routing/layer3 is essential.

Exposure to QoS/CoS

Hands on experience with scripting language like Tcl/Tk or Expect

 

3. Exp (1 – 3) yrs
Responsibilities include:

Development of Automated Test Suites.
Routing protocol regression and system/scaling test.
Debugging the failures and adding new features to the master setup
Validation of routing protocol interoperability with other vendors.
Evaluation of multicast protocols, VPN and MPLS
 Qualifications:

Understanding of one or more of the following protocols: IP, RIP, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MBGP, PIM, IGMP, DVMRP, and/or MPLS. Experience with any of the following a plus: Tcl/Tk, SNMP, and/or Expect. Should be very good at debugging the issues and finding the route cause.
